Can school be over already?

I am just really ready for school to be over. I'm tired of all of the teachers cramming huge projects all in the same week.

I wish they would do a lot more learning in the beginning of the year instead of shoving it off until the end. The end of the year would be a lot easier if we had less homework, not more.

Lesson being, Don't put it off until the end because it will just end up being a scrambled mess.

School in a perfect world..

For today's blog assignment I have to put, in my own words, what I think school would be like in a perfect world. Considering that the world will never become 'perfect', their is know way of knowing what it would actually be like.

What I think school would be like in a perfect world. Nobody would care about trends or fashion, people would dress how they dress and act how they act. They would be themselves and not act like anyone else. People would be like when they were young; they wouldn't care about what people thought about them, they would be free minded and flowing with happiness.

For the actual curricular things, students and teachers would bargain over what homework they can do as long as its related to the topic. Deadlines would be fitted to which of the homework you did and you wouldn't get marked down for it being late. The classes would be more focused on the students special talents. This should also play into what things could be used to help with that talent to perfect it. Since its a perfect world and all.

As for the schedule, school would only be seven months long and Fridays would be half days. The teachers and kids could have a break to have a clear mind to learn more and more.

Homework? There would be no such thing. I find homework pointless; you spend all day doing work and then teachers expect you to bring it home and waste another two hours of your life. The only reason why we have homework is because they're just testing to see if you are responsible enough to get things done and done right, but we have chores for that. They want you to have this 'responsibility' so that you can be dependable when you get a job. Like I said that is what chores are for. Summery, no such thing as homework.

This is what I think school in a perfect world would be like. If you agree, comment below! :)

I think I am finally going to do it!

I think that in a few days or in a week or so I will finally go down Pioneer Hill on my ripstick. I've been kind of skeptical about going down it; because well, it's a BIG hill. I have been practicing going down small but steep hills so that I could practice being able to control my ripstick going at fast rates and being able to turn easily without getting scared or falling off. I have also been starting at lower parts of the hill and then gradually getting higher and higher, so I hope this will help as well.

I am very excited and nervous because I don't want to fall and its going to be an adrenalin rush. If I make it I will post a video of it on my blog. Building up the courage to do this is going to be hard but I'm willing to try!

Wish me luck!!! And a lot of it because I will need it. :/

P.S. I am very scared.

I believe...

I believe that we should take time to look at things and explore more opportunities.

When I was younger I was told that I was going to be an artist. At first I thought "okay... seems about right." but then later on I realized that I wanted to be more than an artist. I became more interested in dancing and crafting (which I guess you could consider being artist). I also became interested in sewing and knitting.

In the mixture of all of this I became really fixed into skateboarding, I love to skateboard. I have been skateboarding since I was six years old. I am not the best skateboarder but I still love doing it. And you may call me chicken for not wanting to go down certain hills. But someday I hope I will get enough courage to go down them. Moving on; I just recently got hooked on riding ripsticks. It's complicated at first, but I find it really easy and fun to do; its also a really great exercise.

I hope this has inspired you to believe you do the things you wish to do, if not I could understand because I am not the best writer and I wasn't too sure what to write for today's blog assignment.

Summer!!!

I am super excited for summer. I can't wait to be in the sun and out of school!

I want to do so much for this summer, I want to hang with friends, swim, shop, tan, and just have fun. I'm sad though, because I am not sure if my mom is going to let me actually do what I want. My mom usually makes me do what she wants to do and she wants me to 'play' with my little sister and spend time with her... The thing is I already do that enough and my sister is at the age when she doesn't really want to do anything, and I want to do what I want. My mom just needs to let me have a say in things on whether I want to actually do it. Gaaaaahh.... Anyway I CAN'T WAIT!!!
